The quilts we do are sent to Lutheran World Relief once a year to be distributed where they are needed...the quilts assembled are 60"x 80".  Currently, there are 5 women who help make these quilts. The materials are donated by various people. There are about 40 quilts being done a year.

This was started around 1930's where the women would bring their lunches to the church and quilt as well as assemble pieces for the quilts from about 9:00 am to 3 pm.  Back then, there would usually be found 10 women, and they would piece about 100 quilts a year to send to Lutheran World Relief for distribution.

With only 5 women at this time who do this, we would really love to have more to make even more quilts to send to those in need.  If anyone is willing to donate their time to cut squares or help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.  The quilting club usually meets every Wednesday between 1:00 pm and 3 pm.  If anyone is interested, go to the "Contact Us" tab, and send a message with your information.
