Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

There will be a quarterly congregation meeting after worship on Sunday, November 1.

We are currently in search of someone to fill the position of secretary at our church.  You can see the full job description on our "Contact Us" tab.  Please, feel free to contact us with any questions or if interested.

Sunday School for all ages began Sunday, September 6, at 9:00 AM.  Safety precautions are in place.  The curriculum for the children/youth started with Genesis and will go over biblical accounts of creation, Adam & Eve, Noah’s ark, etc.  This is a great time to get back into God’s Word by attending Sunday School!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the final decision on holding the 2020 SJLC annual Ice Cream Social has not yet been made. Hopefully a final decision will be forthcoming by mid August.

Our doors have been opened for worship inside the sanctuary with the appropriate measures taken to clean and sanitize with practicing social distancing.  For those who are still uncomfortable with coming inside, worship services will be available in a "drive-in" style in the parking lot.  Just come to the church parking lot, and tune your radio to 87.9 FM. Communion is offered in both the sanctuary and the parking lot.  Sermon videos of Sunday sermons will be available here and on our social media pages at a later time.

VBS Update:  This event has been tentatively rescheduled for October 10-11 at Faith Lutheran Church in Metropolis.  It will still be some type of drama presentation for children and all ages.  More info to come.
